CHARACTER INFORMATION:
Name: Vesper Pavlov
Age: 38
Birthdate: April 23
Year in School or occupation : Coffee shop employee
Race: Gypsy
Powers: Tarot Cards and palm readings
Affiliation: neutral, most likely good, but it would require something more than apathy
DESCRIPTION:
Physical Description: Vesper is a slight figure, short, thin and surprisingly imposing. Many have considered her refusal to dress her age frustrating but she is rather content with her hippie, boho fashion sense. Many have said she seems to be stuck in her teen years of dressing, and she would agree most of the time, depending on how you say it to her of course. One can see her frame covered in ratty jeans and skirts, tank tops and other various layering shirts, she is never without a pair of old sneakers, they are the most comfortable and she has an aversion towards feet. Her ankles and writs are covered in beaded bracelets and various charms form people she has met and places she has gone. When Vesper wears her sleeveless shirts her various tattoos can be seen and often make for a good conversation starter since many wonder why such a young woman would defile her body with such interesting pieces of body art.
The dark hair is unnatural, it use to be a nice shade of brown but Vesper couldn’t stand it so she constantly dyes it black. It seems to fit better with her love of the 1960’s librarian glasses she is so fond of. To add to her grungy appearance she only showers every other day, of course her people don’t shower that often but she does shower more than they do. It is best not to cross Vesper or you will be met with her harsh glare, her dark eyes are the most expressive feature she has, and with one glare she can usually get you to do what she wants. The small features on her face are usually twisted into a grimace or void of any emotional other than annoyance. It tends to fit well with her cutting remarks and otherwise caustic disposition.
How did you obtain this power?:[when did you learn what you were?](Vesper has always known she was a Roma, or gyspy, and when she was younger she was rather excited of the romantic nature of her people. Spending most of her time at her mother’s skirts watching as she made love potions or read palms of the people in the villages Vesper couldn’t wait until the sight had grown in her and she could take on her own customers. Somehow in her travels she found she was no longer happy with the Romani lifestyle. To Vesper it was obvious that the tarot cards, palm reading and tea leaves were all parlor tricks. The sight she had inherited was just a bunch of lucky guesses. In fact she fights her skills but somehow n her constant state of boredom she lays out the tarot cards and ignores the results. No matter how devastating they may seem.

There was something absolutely magical about watching her mother in her small tent making and sharing the family secrets. The family had been in Washington state when Vesper’s disenchantment with her people started to happen.
Vesper was 15 and her mother had sent her to the farmers market with a very specific list of items to gather and as usual Vesper detoured to the local coffee shop and book store. It was one of the things she hid from her family, she was reading when something deep in her chest hurt. It was a quick flash of a sheer blinding pain and she stood up and ran home. It was too late however; her mother was dieing and her father refused to allow a hospital to care for her. Vesper put up a fight and disobeyed her father, or tried to disobey her father and sneak her mother out to a hospital late at night. Role Play Sample: The sun had started to cast rays across the floor and as usual on a Sunday morning Vesper was sleeping like a rock the Chinese take out sat on the counter with half a six pack. Rolling over on the futon Vesper let out a groan and this woke the slumbering German Shepard. With a yawn it trotted over to the futon and jumped on top of his owner. With a happy bark he started licking her face. This was the usual routine and Vesper let out a louder groan and then sighed, her hands came up to her face in hopes of protecting herself and she rolled over on her stomach. This did not stop Kid and he continued his attack. “Alright, alright Kid. I’m getting up.” Pushing herself off the bed she shook her head, sometimes she wondered why she picked up that whimpering puppy and too him in. As she was doing so Kid hopped off the bed and ran around the small studio apartment yipping happily at the prospect of the walk.
Rubbing her eyes Vesper sighed, she had fallen asleep in her clothing, which was good she wasn’t sure she had the coordination to dress herself. Slipping into a pair of clogs she hooked the leash to the color and grabbed her glasses and keys and Kid pulled her out the door. These walks were really more of Kid walking Vesper. The German Shepard panted and tugged on the leash and Vesper huffed as she tried to keep up with him. There was a small park they frequented and mingled with other dogs and dog lovers. Once they had crossed the sidewalks and asphalt streets they had made it to the park and Vesper let him off the leash. Kid started running towards the two chocolate labs that belonged to the flamboyant man standing a few feet ahead of Vesper. With a shouted hello Vesper face planted as a large Doberman ran into her from behind. “Perfect!” she shouted from the cloud of dust that she had kicked up.
